Rowan Telmac was established in the UK in 1981 to produce high
quality pressed steel engineering parts and tubular welded
fabrications for use in the manufacture of electric wheelchairs and
scooters.
Over the years, Rowan Telmac has expanded and diversified into other fields. In 1997, Rowan Telmac developed a tubular steel frame for bus seats and in 1999 made a natural progression to the manufacture of fully trimmed seats and Rowan Telmac Seating was born. Rowan Telmac Seating now have over 500,000 bus seats in service and operate from a modern, purpose built factory on a 1.5 acre site at the centre of the Hortonwood Industrial Estate in Telford. Then in 2009 Rowan Telmac Refurbishment was established to meet the needs of bus operators throughout the UK. The facility in Coventry, close to the Ricoh stadium, boasts a modern paint spraying booth enabling the complete re-paint any PSV vehicle. We undertake anything from small bodywork and crash repairs up to a full fleet interior and exterior refurbishment.
In addition Rowan Telmac has the ability to undertake full or
partial interior refurbishment including
colour scheme change plus door and seating layout modification plus
electrical upgrades, heating modifications, centre door conversions
also handling the notifiable change with VOSA.
Transport for London (tfl) specification if required.
By making use of our in-house facilities in Telford to manufacture new body panels, powder coat parts and re-trim seating, Rowan Telmac has a competitive edge that we seek to share with our customers.
